It's what is put before you that will matter in the end

It's the gist of an idea that was stolen from a friend

I know there must be something that I'm learning from all this

And I'm sure I'll let you help me once I find out what that is

We don't feel the danger but we feel the surprise

We can't seem to see the story through each other's eyes

I ask you to bend 'cause of this song's selfish pride

I am ever-changing, I've no secret to confide

This one's for you to an infinite degree

But I don't know what it means, I wonder

Can you tell me?

I'll be here forever or at least on through the night

I'll try to find the answer that is somewhere in my sight

There is nothing else that I can offer you instead

But to struggle through these memories looking for the common thread

This one's for you to an infinite degree

But I don't know what it means, I wonder

Can you tell me?
